The aim of the IICCA is to democratize the art funding and commissioning practices in local municipalities and other organizations in charge of culture, as well as empower local communities to support their cultural needs.
We believe that by developing a replicable participatory process for municipalities to involve citizens in cultural decision-making and art commissioning, the project will enhance the capacity of European cultural and creative sectors to innovate new, more accessible, inclusive and transparent ways of cultural funding.
International Institute of Community Commissioned Art (IICCA) is co-founded by Bethlen TheaterĀ / Pro-Progressione (HU), Art Transparent (PL), and New Theatre Institute of Latvia (LV).
